The major new construction project at VTTI FTL is proceeding with the same urgency that drove its planning.
The bespoke project, initiated on behalf of a customer, was designed and agreed in just five months. Now, construction is moving forward around the clock, safely and efficiently, with the target of commissioning in April 2016.
In early February, the team mobilised on-site for the project kick-off phase, and in Singapore engineers at the EPC contractor worked on completing the detail design and procurement of materials. Construction of the tank foundations is also under way.
On completion our customer will have a dedicated crude storage, processing and fuel oil blending facility.
The contract involves:
- constructing a new 430,000 m3 tank farm of heated, black oil K1 tanks under a long-term, exclusive lease agreement
- assigning additional storage from VTTI FTL’s existing capacity, taking the total contract up to 475,000 m3
- providing operational resources for the customer’s new processing facility on-site, and all required connections to the terminal’s tankage.
VTTI FTL is proud to be working with this customer, a multi-billion euro, publicly listed energy company.
