If a team member has to take time off work due to an injury, we call this a ‘lost time incident’ (LTI).

The most important thing about an LTI is to learn from it, that’s just what we did. On 11 April 2015 we celebrated three years of LTI-free operations.

Michael Samuel takes up the story: “We marked the achievement with a fun HSE day. We invited the contractors to join us, printed up special T-Shirts and designed some fun activities including a HSE Wheel of Fortune quiz competition.

The climax was the HSE ‘Explorace’, where four teams were challenged with tricky clues, difficult questions and arduous tasks. It was a great day to celebrate an important milestone, and we’re working every day to make sure the fourth year will need a celebration as well.”
