The environment: Ventspils raises its game

As part of the on-going programme of upgrades, VTTI’s Ventspils terminal in Latvia is now operating a new wastewater treatment facility. This technology will enable the plant to meet high environmental standards relating to discharges.
The plant is also to receive a new Vapour Recovery Unit, similar to that being installed at ETA Amsterdam, creating a cleaner environment for our workforce and neighbours.
Meanwhile, the Ventspils management and neighbouring operators are continuing to explore the feasibility of improving capacity in the port with a new and expanded jetty.
