Ready for business in Kenya
Location:
VTTI Kenya Limited is waiting for its final permit and very soon the new terminal’s tanks will be ready to receive product. All six of the Phase 1 tanks (totalling 55,000 m3 storage capacity) are complete, together with the truck loading gantry and the piping tie-ins to the Kenya Pipeline Company.
The focus now has moved to Phase 2 of the project. The remaining four tanks (58,000 m3) are on schedule for completion in August/September. The piled foundations for all four are complete and the contractor has started to lay the bottom plates.
Exciting times, then, as the terminal prepares to become a major new landmark on the energy landscape of Kenya.
