Position Summary

In order to strengthen the team of the newly built LPG-terminal in Lagos, Nigeria (Navgas), we are looking for an ambitious Finance Manager. Hierarchical reporting to the General Manager (GM) of Navgas and functional to the CFO of Vitol Tank Terminal International (VTTI) , the Finance Manager will contribute to the overall financial strategy and will have a central role in the development of the financial administration and reporting standards of the terminal.

Responsibilities

1. Financial Plan

  • Responsible for preparation and drawing the financial (long-term) plan and budgets in line with organizational development, strategies and policies (IFRS), and future investments
  • Responsible for acquiring data for and composing of financial management information
  • Assess investment and/or development proposals on feasibility and consistency

2. Financial Control

  • Develop and maintain Planning & Control cycle
  • Responsible for development of financial administration and internal control system
  • Financial Reporting to GM and VTTI

3. Financial Administration

  • Responsible for daily management of financial administration
  • Management of debtors and creditors
  • Payroll and payroll administration

4. Know How Management

  • Responsible for updating know how regarding (local) legislation and taxes
  • Share and endorse know how, and translating into policies and procedures

5. Risk Management

  • Notify and indentify changes regarding financial development of the terminal organization

6. Management Team member

  • Contribute to organizational development
  • Initiate process improvements

All aspects of Finance are under active review; the Finance Manager will be expected to identify enhancements and opportunities to add value, as well as executing the status quo.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Graduate with an excellent academic record
  • Ideally a minimum of 5 years experience in a fast paced, international and commercial environment
  • Strong financial skills
  • Experienced in project management
  • English spoken and written, knowledge of more languages is advantageous
  • Experienced with managing people and teams

Maintenance & Repair Manager

Ensuring the realisation of preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs and modifications to buildings, installations and equipment so that the technical operating resources for the terminal organisation are in good condition and continue to guarantee the continuity of the operational processes, with due regard for the rules and instructions applicable for this. Managing the M&R Department, both as regards own staff and contractors / third parties. Continuous development of a maintenance strategy for the terminal that is focussed on the future.

International Project Manager

The International Project Manager ensures the feasibility, preparation and project management (planning, execution, delivery) of international technical projects (improvements, innovations), commissioned by VTTI Management Team. According to VTTI’s policies, project scope, -time and –budget, you will optimise equipment for current and future needs, in cooperation with (local) Operations Management. You will be assigned to projects within the growing VTTI network and travel frequently.
