Overview:
VTTI is a partner in an exciting new project to construct a 3 million m3 storage facility. Tank Terminal Europoort West (TEW) will be built in the Port of Rotterdam to provide transhipment and storage of Urals' crude oil and other oil products from the Russian Baltic Port of Primorsk. The project will be supported by investment of around US$1bn, and the facility will occupy a land area of more than 55 hectares. Oil will be supplied by shuttle tankers specially designed for the Primorsk-Rotterdam route.
VTTI is a 25% shareholder in the venture company (‘Shtandart TT B.V.’), with Summa Group holding 75%. After the initial permitting and design process, the construction work for the new terminal is expected to begin in 2013, with operational startup
targeted at 2015.
