Overview:
Strategically placed to receive imports and serve the internal regional markets of South America, Vitco handles a full range of products. Its location at the clean port of Zàrate enables excellent regional distribution of oil products, whether by barge, vessel or truck. There is also land for expansion, as well as potential for a pipeline. Indeed, demand has merited a further expansion phase to build three new tanks, each with a capacity of 11,000 m3. Scheduled completion date: July 2013.

Vitco’s new (and unexpected) jetty
Expect the unexpected… it’s always a good mantra when it comes to health and safety, and in June 2011 it came true at VTTI’s Vitco terminal in Zarate, Argentina. An out of control third party vessel collided with our Jetty No. 1, damaging it beyond repair.

Operator
The operator performs operational work relating to unloading and loading of sea-going vessels, barges, product pumping via pipelines, the storage and handling of products, the management of the tank farm and cleaning work so that, with due regard for the environmental and safety requirements / instructions, a fast and efficient service is provided both internally and externally.
