The capacity to add value.

Building on firm foundations

VTTI is a fast-growing independent provider of energy storage worldwide.

Founded in 2006, we currently offer 9.1 million m3 of combined storage capacity across 5 continents, which will rise to over 10 million m3 in the near future as new projects come on line.

VTTI benefits from two strong shareholders, Buckeye Partners and Vitol, that support VTTI’s continued growth as an independent global terminal operator. VTTI is run as an standalone company under the leadership of CEO Rob Nijst.

Vitol Buckeye Partners L.P.

Buckeye Partners

Buckeye owns and operates a diversified network of integrated assets providing midstream logistic solutions, primarily consisting of the transportation, storage, and marketing of liquid petroleum products. Founded in 1886, it is one of the largest independent liquid petroleum products pipeline operators in the United States, with approximately 6,000 miles of pipeline and a terminal network comprising more than 120 terminals with storage capacity of over 110 million barrels.

The VTTI approach to growth

VTTI’s growth has been rapid, and has followed a two-pronged approach to expansion. We have identified excellent locations and built brand new assets on greenfield sites. And we have acquired existing businesses and aligned them to our own technical and HSE standards.
