Project Development Manager M&A

As a project development manager M&A you will be focusing on our LNG projects as our transaction lead and you will report into our VP for global project development.

What are your responsibilities?

  • Lead M&A transactions (from the buying side) in the fields of: (i) Operations, (ii) Asset Integrity, (iii) HSE (Health Safety Environmental), (iv) ESG (Environmental Social Governance), (v) future projects.
  • Responsible for timely delivery of accurate and complete Due Diligence reports (Red Flags, Draft, Final) supported by external top tier advisory e.g. DNV, ERM, ARUP; all within a compressed timeline of 4-8 weeks.
  • Responsible for timely delivery of accurate and substantiated Opex/Capex assumptions as key input for the financial model to support the BC and financial valuation. Set up and lead the transaction team comprised of internal VTTI experts, SME consultants, External advisors. Lead and/or participate weekly advisory calls and proactively coordinate between the different disciplines. Proactively engage with internal stakeholders e.g. commercial dpt., BD dpt., financial modelers etc.
  • Being capable to clearly explain the background of DD information, how it is underpinning the Opex/Capex assumptions and with what sensitivity.
  • Manage the process of data collection and processing i.e. Vender Data Room, Information Request List, Q&A Develop and Monitor In-house Engineering Activities and Project Engineering Man Hours Estimation and Schedule.
  • Management and supervision of In-house Engineering Activities and Project Engineering Schedule.
  • Conduct Engineering Audits to ensure the Quality of Documents and to ensure the compliance to codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Ensure implementation of no change policy through robust management of change process

What we’re looking for
Solid technical background i.e. Master of Engineering in the fields of e.g. process engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or the likes.

  • 5 years of top tier international advisory experience, fully understanding the dynamics of M&A transactions, Due Diligence process in one or more of the fields stipulated at the first bullet; preferably in the role of Project Manager/transaction lead. 10 years of technical experience in the fields of e.g. engineering, project management, SME etc. Solid understanding of/experience with LNG infrastructure, LNG storage tanks, Regas terminals, FSRU, LNGC, LNG terminal operations etc. is a pre.
  • Having worked in an international, multicultural environment. Fluent in English Ability to easily connect and liaise with people from different disciplines and/or background, while standing firm on technical and data integrity.
  • Living in The Rotterdam area (or Londen and willing to travel to Rotterdam HQ frequently) or willing to relocate.
  • On the ball, responsive, flexible, stress resistant.
