VTTI is exploring and building biogas sites in the Netherlands and the first to come online will be our facility in Tilburg, VBT.

Our facility in Tilburg will be coming online soon and more locations will be added in the near future. Therefore, we are looking for a Commercial manager BIOGAS/RNG

Position

We are looking to expand our team with a skilled and experienced Commercial Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the commercial functions of our biogas operations in the Netherlands. This includes handling feedstock procurement, pellet sales, and managing the output of gas and green certificates to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability.

What are your responsibilities?

  • Develop and implement the commercial strategy for the biogas business, ensuring alignment with overall company goals and objectives
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs to identify opportunities for business development and growth
  • Identify and negotiate feedstock procurement agreements, ensuring a reliable and cost-effective supply chain
  • Oversee pellet production processes and negotiate pellet sales and export opportunities.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure optimal plant performance in terms of gas production volume, quality and certification.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth commercial operations
  • Conduct pricing analysis and recommend competitive pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability
  • Prepare and present regular reports on commercial performance, key metrics, and future growth opportunities to senior management
  • Manage contracts, agreements, and negotiations with customers, suppliers, and other third parties to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the business
  • Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and technological advancements related to biogas production, and integrate them into the commercial strategy as applicable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a similar commercial management role within the biogas or renewable energy industry in the Netherlands
  • Sound knowledge of biogas production processes and feedstock procurement strategies. And pellet production techniques would be a bonus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market and financial data to make informed business decisions
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving revenue growth and profitability
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to biogas production
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills
  • Proficient in using MS Office Suite and other relevant software applications

What we’re looking for
