Are you an experienced Investment Manager with a passion for renewable energy and expertise in investment, deal structuring, and commercial negotiations? VIDA Bioenergy is looking for a RNG Investment Manager to drive the growth of our renewable natural gas (RNG) portfolio in the Benelux region, with a primary focus on the Netherlands. This is a key role within VIDA, offering the opportunity to originate, evaluate, and execute new RNG projects while working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Your role as Investment Manager (RNG)

As the RNG Investment Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and closing new RNG opportunities in the Benelux region. You will work closely with landowners, farmers, financial institutions, and internal teams to drive VIDA’s expansion. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and commercial instincts.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify and source new greenfield, brownfield, and acquisition opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with landowners, farmers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Develop a network of advisors, banks, and partners to generate M&A opportunities.
  • Act as the representative of VIDA in business development efforts in the Netherlands.
  • Negotiate key commercial terms for land leases, feedstock agreements, asset acquisitions, and development contracts.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with government agencies, developers, traders, and internal stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively across teams, ensuring alignment with project development, operations, and legal teams.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of new opportunities.
  • Lead due diligence processes, including commercial, legal, and technical aspects.
  • Develop financial models, valuation assessments, and investment proposals.
  • Assess risks, including financial, legal, commercial, and operational risks.
  • Drive internal and external stakeholders to successfully close transactions.
  • Ensure that all projects comply with regulatory and legislative requirements in the Benelux region.
  • Present investment materials and updates to senior leadership and shareholders.
  • Support international business development efforts, collaborating with teams in the UK and Poland.

What We’re Looking For

  • A numerical university degree (e.g., Economics, Accounting, Engineering).
  • A professional qualification in accounting, investment management, or finance is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in investment management.
  • Strong background in financial analysis, deal structuring, and commercial negotiations.
  • Strong understanding of financial modelling and investment analysis.
  • Ability to negotiate complex agreements with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong instincts for identifying and executing high-value opportunities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels, from farmers to shareholders.
  • Hands-on and proactive approach to driving business growth.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong industry networks.
  • Knowledge of the Dutch language is a must for this rol!
