VTTI invests in assets and people. To further strengthen the capability of Project Services to realize our growth. As a Senior Contracts Manager, you are responsible for providing oversight for all contract management activities on medium size to large projects and key strategic projects during the development and execution phases. You report to the Project Services Manager, with a “dotted line” to our procurement organization, and you support the different cross-functional project teams to ensure the successful completion of projects from a contracting point of view.

What are your responsibilities?
- Oversee the contract management of the projects through the stage gates process from Feasibility through FEED and Execution up to Completion and Close-out.
- Supports project (development) managers with the developing of adequate contracting strategies for the projects.
- Supports the Project (Development) Managers in negotiation and timely awards of the contracts pre and post FID:
- Writes the various types of contracts (FIDIC/NEC) to meet VTTI’s and project requirements.
- Responsible for the contractual documents of the ITB packages during the different stages of the project life cycle.
- Assists Project (Development) Managers with preparation of scope of work, schedule, and other required technical documents for the ITB process.
- Supports preparation of bid evaluation plans.
- Works closely with VTTI’s legal councils to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with VTTI’s legal requirements.
- Protects the VTTI’s interests by enforcing warranties, mitigating contract risks, claim management and providing contractual exposure oversight to project management teams.
- Disseminates contractual awareness and keeps the project organizations aware of contractual obligations and objectives.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, including department heads and contractors.
What we’re looking for
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in either engineering, legal, commerce, business, supply chain management or equivalent.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in contracts management environment within he construction, engineering, Oil & Gas industry/energy storage industry. Experience with renewable energy projects is welcome.
- In depth knowledge of the FIDIC Contracts portfolio.
- Strong planning and organizing skills, able to identify and effectively priorities workload and successfully meet multiple, often competing deadlines pro-active worker with a solutions-oriented approach, demonstrating initiative and ownership of deliverables
- Hands-on practical approach and willingness to support team activities
- Experience with medium to large EPC(M) projects in the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Proficient in written and spoken English
