Can you give an example of a challenging situation?
One evening, I came into work to find we had a boat and a barge in the harbour and a cruise ship waiting at the cruise terminal for bunkering. Time is money for all of them. The key was to understand each job. We got them all moving, with no problems.
Is the role what you expected?
It’s certainly challenging. The precision demanded at a terminal is awe-inspiring.
What is it like to work in a tight-knit team?
In a big corporation you feel like a number, so it’s hard to bring about change. But here change can be instant.
