First, I take care of product movements in the central control room for current activities and also plan upcoming requirements. If the loading master is off duty, I also take responsibility for managing the team.

It’s important to be able to handle pressure. Also, you must have excellent people skills as you have a team of ten people to look after.
I joined 20 years ago as a “C” operator, then progressed to “B”, “A” and then “A-star”. Three years ago I was promoted to shift leader.
