Yvan Tavernier is Executive Vice President of Operations at VTTI. In this role, he oversees all operational activities across VTTI’s global portfolio and is responsible for the development and execution of the company’s project portfolio.
Yvan holds a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and has completed executive education at INSEAD. He brings decades of international experience in the tank storage and energy logistics sector, with a strong track record in optimizing and transforming industrial operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental performance.
Prior to joining VTTI, Yvan held several senior leadership positions at Oiltanking and Advario, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he had full accountability for industrial and commercial strategy, operations, capital investment, and the delivery of financial objectives across a global portfolio.
He began his career at Solvay as a Process Technology Expert, working in the production of polyolefins.
